Thank God for the ministry of Peace Ambassador Society and Barnabas Fund who always play vital role to uplift the depress, helpless and poor Christian community in Pakistan. Peace Ambassadors Society is involved in many uplift programmes and Apprenticeship Programme is a great initiative in Pakistan.
Apprenticeship is a system for training a new generation of practitioners of a trade or profession with on-the-job training and often some accompanying study (classroom work and reading). Apprenticeships can also enable practitioners to gain a license or permission to practice in a regulated occupation.
Most of their training is done while working for an employer who helps the apprentices learn their trade or profession, in exchange for their continued labor for an agreed period after they have achieved measurable competencies. Apprenticeship lengths vary significantly across sectors, professions, roles and cultures. In some cases people who successfully complete an apprenticeship can reach the “journeyman” or professional certification level of competence. In other cases they can be offered a permanent job at the company that provided the placement. Although the formal boundaries and terminology of the apprentice/journeyman/master system often do not extend outside guilds and trade unions, the concept of on-the-job training leading to competence over a period of years is found in any field of skilled labor.
Peace Ambassadors Society and Barnabas Fund Apprenticeship initiative in Pakistan is only for those drop out and poor children who could not get education due to financial and family crisis. We adopted 300 children by the financial support of Barnabas Fund who could not get their education in their early age. We helped the apprentice to learn different trades and thank God who are learning nicely whole year. We visited them during their working hours and spend some time prayers and fellowship and some time our team met with their masters/teachers/ustad and requested them for the special favor for our apprentice.
Hear how we’ve helped individuals grow, learn, and thrive.
